Tinnitus Help
Tinnitus is a phenomenon that is not yet fully understood by the medical community. It is connected to the electrical processes associated with the nervous system and effects the inner ear and the auditory nerve. Tinnitus is a constant ringing or buzzing in the ears. It usually begins quite soft in volume but can progress to become very loud and even become unbearable and debilitating.

Many people who experienced tinnitus have reported the onset of tinnitus just before or shortly after beginning to lose hearing. Tinnitus can become more pronounced with excessive stress or even certain types of physical exertion. Calming of the senses and relaxation seem to be the best solution for lessening the effects of tinnitus.

To date there is no cure for tinnitus; experts often suggest "masking" the tinnitus (constant and "inside" the persons head) with an external stimulus like relaxing sounds or music.

Because tinnitus is connected to the bodies own "electrical" or nervous system, many have found relief from acupuncture treatment.
